Population Health Intervention Research Centre

This Faculty of Medicine Centre was established at the University of Calgary in 2004.

The founding investment came from the Canadian Institute for Health Research | Institute of Population and Public Health, through its Centres for Research Development program.

This program was designed to improve research capacity for addressing the overall health impact of people's environments, including cultural, socioeconomic, and physical dimensions. That is still our mission today.

The Centre is nested within the Institute for Public Health.
