Jennie Petersen

Biography: Jennie Petersen is a second year MSc. student in the Department of Community Health Sciences and is currently enrolled in the Population/ Public Health specialization.  Her supervisors are Dr. Tish Doyle-Baker and Dr. Alan Shiell and her thesis project is focused on the evaluation of a community-wide physical activity initiative in Calgary.  Jennie completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2005, also at the University of Calgary. 

Research Interests: Community level interventions, including physical activity promotion through urban design, physical activity and chronic disease prevention, health economic evaluation, healthy policy and the influence of socioeconomic status on health outcomes.
