Coverage Changes to the 2011-12 GSA Health and Dental Plan

Health PlanAugust 15, 2011

In order to deal with the high-usage of the Health and Dental plan, the following coverage changes will be made to the GSA Health and Dental Plan in the coming year:

-10% dental fee increase
-reduction of dental diagnostic & preventative from 80% to 70%
-reduction of dental restorative from 80% to 70%
-$3000 maximum on durable equipment and supplies

Changes Will Roll Out in Accordance With Students' Registration Months

Please note, in order to make this transition as fair as possible, these changes will come into effect for the 2011-12 academic year in accordance with when students pay their health and dental fees (also called registration month).

Therefore, if you're a May registrant who always pays your general fees in May, the changes will come into place in May 2011—the same for students who pay general fees in July 2011, September 2011 and January 2012.

Pharmex Direct Online/Mailorder for Prescriptions

Campus Trust will also be setting up an online prescription service through Pharmex Direct Online. Essentially, by ordering prescriptions drugs online, students will be able to be reimbursed a higher percentage for drug claims:

-Pharmex Direct Online/Mail Order at 85% instead of 80% for in-person/store bought drug purchases
