Reminder: fill out the National Survey of Student Engagement

First and senior students: if you haven't already filled out NSSE, be sure to do so in the next few weeks. You will have received an e-mail invitation to take part in NSSE in February.

Remember that your answers will help shape the U of C student experience. Complete your survey by Thursday, March 31 and be entered into a draw for:

One of eight $50 bookstore gift certificates

Do you know an outstanding student leader? Nominate them for a President's Award

We're looking for exceptional students who are graduating this year to be nominated for a 2011 President's Award for Excellence in Student Leadership. These awards are presented to graduating students who have combined excellent academic achievement with outstanding extracurricular contributions to the university.

If you know a student who should be considered for a President's Award, be sure to nominate them by Friday, March 18. Nomination forms can be found at the Provost's Office website.

Apply to be an Orientation Leader for Fall Orientation Week!

Apply now to be involved in a fantastic orientation week with the incoming class of 2015! The Student Success Centre is looking for motivated and dedicated student leaders from ALL faculties to be involved in welcoming new students in Orientation 2011.

Visit the Orientation website to learn more and download an application. Applications are due Friday, March 11. Interviews will take place on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.

One Match Registration Event: help those in need of a stem cell or marrow transplant

Wednesday, March 2
11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Olympic Oval

The Multi-Faith Chaplains' Centre and the Muslim Council of Calgary are hosting the Canadian Blood Services' One Match Cheek Registration event. Students are invited to stop by the Olympic Oval to offer a cheek swab. The swab will be placed in a national database in hopes of finding a match for those needing a stem cell or marrow transplant due to Leukemia or other blood diseases.
